Printmaking with the University of Brighton
The University of Brighton is offering BACA students studying Art in Year 10 a series of three in-school practical Printmaking workshops. Pupils will learn a new Printmaking technique each week. Work created can be used as part of their GCSE coursework and will give them a real advantage this year. All workshops will take place in C8 (Mr Miles’ Art room).
As well as being taught by a practising Artist and university tutor - the Masterclass workshops will also be supported by several trained Undergraduate Printmaking students, which will enable students to access peer support throughout the programme. The project culminates in a day-trip to the University of Brighton Grand Parade campus in June, where pupils will be taken on a guided tour of the Final Year degree show in the morning, and in the afternoon participate in a 2 hour Printing Press workshop using the facilities in their amazing department.
